Ghost Chase (Hollywood Monster) | A Haunted Clock, A Ghost Butler & 1987's Oddest Spooky Comedy Film

An aspiring horror director, a haunted grandfather clock, and an animatronic butler named Louis... sound familiar? 👻🕰️ One of my favourite 1980s films when I was a kid 🍿 Ghost Chase – or Hollywood-Monster as it was known in Germany – the 1987 horror comedy from a pre-Independence Day Roland Emmerich that's equal parts E.T., Ghostbusters, and absolute 80s chaos! Co-written by Emmerich with Thomas Kubisch and Oliver Eberle, and produced through his newly founded Centropolis Film Productions, the film was a West German-American co-production released theatrically in Germany on 25th June 1987.
