Created and written by Peter Maddocks, it followed Penny Crayon – a bright, resourceful schoolgirl from London who loves to draw. Using the magic crayons she always carries, she brings everything she draws to life – from cats and dogs to plates of chips and fishes! – usually creating absolute chaos for her and her best friend Dennis Pillbeam. Voiced by comedy legend Su Pollard (of Hi-de-Hi! fame), with Peter Hawkins (the legendary voice of Captain Pugwash and the Flowerpot Men) as Dennis, the show was pure, playful 80s fun.
